Here's a short script that I have made that I will be giving to Wakisa on the day to learn in order for him to learn his lines for his part.

Colour Correction
To make my film more of a nordic noir look, I will have to bring the colours down and make them all equal. As you can see from my film shots, on the day that I filmed was really bright so while I was editing, along the way I was brought all the colours down.
My aim for the colour is to make it blue and darkish to make it look more realistic like any other noir programmes/films. On premiere pro, I set the same colour correction for each video.
For basic correction, I have made the temperature all the way down to -60 for a nice blue effect to each video with a little bit of tint. For around the edges for that darker look, I used vignette and brought the amount down which gives that nice look to each video.
By trying my hardest using and figuring our the colour correction to get that slight noir look, I am happy on the way it has turned out for each video shown.

Music used in my Film
Music and Sound Used
Wakisa, who play's the detective in my film, goes to university in London to study music as he is into and hoping to be high up on becoming a DJ. He basically sat down and went through each track that were copy right free that he had access to from a website to choose the right music to go with my film. From the track that he chose and what I used within my film, I was very happy and I think it goes great with the film and also it tell's the story and the tension. He also helped me with the sound effects to make it more realistic.

Finished Version
Final Edit
I have finally finished making my film and in my opinion I am proud of how it's all turned out. As I am not used to editing on premiere pro, I'm not use to it and I would have to say that's my weakness throughout this whole assignment. I used and looked up tutorials on You Tube to help me a lot to edit and it was very useful to watch. What I felt that was hard was to do the colour correction on to the videos as I wanted it to make it look blue and dark to set the scene and the mood of the nordic noir. I had help from my friend who played detective and he gave me music ideas to use and put in as he had access from a website for copy right free music also he already made his own sound effects which I added in also. There are many things I need to improve on which is my editing skills and to become better at it, my aim is to make some short films on anything over the summer holidays and start to edit it my self and try out different effects and things that I don't know which could improve my film for next year in year 2 and year 3.
I enjoyed this project but I started off to a slow start due to lack of confidence on working on my own as I prefer group work and also not use to making films, but this has helped me gain more confidence in my self and giving me more understand that I had before.

Some Film Shots of the Location
This evening, I went down the Gnoll Park to start taking some shots to show in the film my location of where it's going to be taken. The still shots I screenshotted from my video underneath show some shots of the lake and it's surrounding's. I'm not a huge fan of these shots, as my original plan was to film in the evening but as you can see, the shots are really dark and can't see much. If I film towards the evening, then it would be too dark to see anything so it wouldn't work. So now my new plan is to film towards the afternoon.

Plan - Story
Plan - Story
A young adult called Jennifer, relaxes and spends most of her time outdoors to read and to write in her diary about her day in her local park. She hears something near to her so she panics and starts to walk away to go home. The stalker, Charlier, is watching her closely from the bushes as she walks past him. As she panics she drops her bag on the floor, when she stands back up, the stalker is behind and following her closely. Jennifer turns around, see's him and runs as fast as she can, scared. Jennifer tries to run away, panics and ends up running to a dead end. The stalker walks slowly down towards her and then it ends there. The following morning, Detective Reilly finds the body of Jennifer and phones his boss to bring everyone down to look into this murder and find the killer.
I wanted this story to be simple and original to make for my first film and with all the ideas I have got, hopefully it will all go to plan and turns out good for my first piece.
This first part is a flashback, so I am first going to start off with the detective finding the body of Jennifer and then it will cut to saying '13 hours ago' to let the audience know that this is a flash back of what happened to Jennifer. I was inspired by ITV new show Marcella and the first opening scene of the programme starts off with Marcella in the bath covered in blood looking confused then cuts telling the audience what happened three days earlier so that where I copied and took some ideas from.

Ideas and inspired by 'Marcella'
Marcella
Marcella Backland left the Metropolitan Police for the sake of her family, only to have her husband leave her. She returns to her job on the murder squad, investigating a case that seems disturbingly familiar to her.
While thinking and coming up with ideas for this project, at the time a new ITV programme came on called Marcella which is kind of a nordic noir film. I was really inspired by the first opening scene of the programme as it starts off with Marcella in the bath covered in blood and she is very confused on what has happened then it cuts to '3 days earlier' and the rest of the programme is a flash back of what's happened.
I really liked that opening scene and the idea of the whole flashback as it makes the audience more excited as they want to watch the programme from start to finish and want to know answers of why she in a bath full of blood etc.
I want to take that idea forward to create a flashback story as I think it would be interesting.

Location Ideas
Gnoll Park
For my location of shooting for my film, I've decided that I am going to go and film down the Gnoll Park in Neath. The reason why I have chosen this location is because it is literally 5 minutes down the road from my house which is perfect for me and the main reason is the fact that it would set the scene of the story and it would make it very creepy and dark with the woods. As I visit the Gnoll mostly all the time, I know some perfect places to shoot for my film and also it's a lovely and quiet place at a certain time.

Little Red Riding Hood Fairytale
For this project, I have chosen to look into the fairytale 'Little Red Riding Hood' because it was my favourite fairytale story when I was young. I have plenty of ideas on what to recreate this story but first I will be looking and researching more in to the original story.
Little Red Riding Hood
From this fairytale, I would like to create a similar story to this but obviously make my own twist. I am looking forward in creating ideas for filming this and planning the whole thing ahead.
Little Red Riding Hood
The story revolves around a girl called Little Red Riding Hood. In the Grimms' and Perrault's versions of the tale, she is named after the red hooded cape/cloak that she wears. The girl walks through the woods to deliver food to her sickly grandmother. In the Grimms' version, she had the order from her mother to stay strictly on the path.
A Big Bad Wolf wants to eat the girl and the food in the basket. He secretly stalks her behind trees, bushes, shrubs, and patches of little and tall grass. He approaches Little Red Riding Hood and she naïvely tells him where she is going. He suggests that the girl pick some flowers; which she does. In the meantime; he goes to the grandmother's house and gains entry by pretending to be the girl. He swallows the grandmother whole and waits for the girl, disguised as the grandma.
When the girl arrives, she notices that her grandmother looks very strange. Little Red then says, "What a deep voice you have!" ("The better to greet you with"), "Goodness, what big eyes you have!" ("The better to see you with"), "And what big hands you have!" ("The better to hug/grab you with"), and lastly, "What a big mouth you have" ("The better to eat you with!"), at which point the wolf jumps out of bed, and eats her up too. Then he falls asleep. In Charles Perrault's version of the story, the tale ends here. However, in later versions the story continues generally as follows:
A woodcutter comes to the rescue and with his axe cuts open the sleeping wolf. Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother emerge unharmed. They then fill the wolf's body with heavy stones. The wolf awakens and tries to flee, but the stones cause him to collapse and die.
The tale makes the clearest contrast between the safe world of the village and the dangers of the forest, conventional antitheses that are essentially medieval, though no written versions are as old as that. It also warns about the dangers of not obeying one's mother.
From this fairytale, I would like to create a similar story to this but obviously make my own twist. I am looking forward in creating ideas for filming this and planning the whole thing ahead.

What is Nordic Noir?
Before I start making ideas for my film, firstly I would need to look on what is nordic noir and what nordic noir programmes and films there are that I could look for inspiration and also for plenty of ideas.
What is Nordic Noir?
Nordic Noir is a type of Scandinavian crime fiction and television drama that typically features dark storylines and bleak urban settings.
Programmes and Films:
- The Bridge
- Marcella
- Trapped
- Beck
- The Killing
- Northwest
- The Hunters
- False Trail
Heres a link where I got my information from: http://nordicnoir.tv/
This will be very helpful as I can watch some of them and get ideas from.
